Schreder worked with Helsingborg's city council and ecologists to design lighting for a bike and pedestrian trail through old growth forest which was home to several species of endangered bats. The 1870K red light coupled with smart controls for proper dimming and darkness at critical times of the night were key to this special solution. Most importantly after 2 years of careful monitoring there is no sign of any change to the behavior of the endangered bats. A true success of man sharing space in harmony with nature.
